Covid 19- a threats or asset to the climate

Most of us were living with the idea that the Earth was healing thanks to covid-19. As said in a article by the Washington Post it’s all an “illusion.” Carbon dioxide levels are the highest they have ever been in the past 3 million years!

Most carbon dioxide that is present in the Earth is due to human activity. Human made climate change.

Climate change is all about the Co2.

How is carbon released into the atmosphere?

• When organisms respire (breathe) or decompose (decay)

• When carbonate rocks are weathered

• Forest fires occur

• Volcanoes erupt

• Human activity

• Deforestation

• Burning of fossil fuels

• Production of cement

• Result of chemical reactions

• Solid waste

These are a few major scale ways carbon is released. There are many other things we do on a daily base which release carbon into the atmosphere such as;

• Consuming electricity

• Transportation

• Industrial building

Try doing whatever you can to help reduce the amount of Co2 released.
